I have some big news. You better sit down for this one.
PILLSBURY MAKES FROZEN GRANDS BUTTERMILK BISCUITS.

Why is this a big deal? Because you can make 12 biscuits or you can make one biscuit. Since they are individually frozen in the bag, you can easily make a few at a time without anything going to waste. Even though I love Pillsbury rolls, I don’t typically buy the refrigerated cans since I am often only cooking for two (if there were eight rolls between the two of us, we WOULD eat them all, then feel great remorse after they expand in our guts to the point where we feel ill).
Maybe you already knew this earth-shattering news and I am behind the times; either way, you’ll want to check out these easy and delicious air fryer breakfast biscuits that are sure to please. They came together in about 20 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients for Easy Air Fryer Breakfast Biscuits
I only made two breakfast biscuits, but this recipe can very easily be doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. If you have a big air fryer, you’ll want to fit in as many as you can!

- Olive oil (just a small amount to brush on the bottom of the egg cups and on the tray)
- 2 Grands Buttermilk Biscuits (frozen, not refrigerated)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cups of chopped greens (I used spinach, kale, and scallions) or any chopped vegetable of your choice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cheese (I used one slice of sharp cheddar; you can use shredded as well)
In addition to these ingredients, you will need two dishes for your eggs to cook in. I love these silicone cups (green one pictured below) because the eggs practically fall out once they’re cooked. You could also use ramekins, cocottes, or any small dish that is safe to use in your oven.

Instructions for Making Easy Air Fryer Breakfast Biscuits
It should be noted that I cooked these using an oven style air fryer, not a basket style fryer. You can definitely still make these with a basket style fryer; just keep your eye on things since cook times may vary.
- If your air fryer needs to preheat, do so to 330 degrees.
2. Brush the inside of the dishes your eggs will go in with a tiny bit of oil. Brush the rack or basket of your air fryer with a spritz of oil as well (so the biscuits don’t stick).
3. Take two biscuits out of the freezer and place on one tray or inside your air fryer basket (leaving room for the egg cups). If you are cooking a lot of biscuits, ensure they are laid out in a single layer – do not stack. If you stack, they will not cook evenly.
4. Crack one egg in each oven-safe dish. Beat the egg with a little salt and pepper. Mix 1/4 cups of the chopped vegetables into each cup. (Note: I did not sautΓ© my chopped vegetables before baking; they cooked just fine in the oven. However, if you use vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, or onions, you may wish to sautΓ© your vegetables in a small pan on the stove top first if you don’t care for a crunch). Optional: Add ~1 tablespoon of shredded cheese into each cup and mix. (If I have slices of cheese, I opt to use those instead – but not until the last minute or two of cooking).

5. Place your egg cups in the air fryer along with the biscuits. If you are using an oven style fryer with different levels/racks like mine, put the eggs on the top rack and the biscuits on the middle rack. Set your device to air fry for 10 minutes at 330 degrees (I set an additional timer for 7 minutes, because you will take the eggs out after 7 of these 10 minutes). If you are cooking in an air fryer where everything is on the same level, keep an eye on your eggs and biscuits along the way – cooking times may vary from what I tried in mine.

6. After 7 of the 10 minutes have passed, check your eggs. If they are set and slightly browned on the top, take them out of the air fryer and set aside. Continue air frying the biscuits for 3 minutes (until the 10 minutes is up).

7. After 10 minutes of cooking, your biscuits will look nice and fluffy – but they might not be fully cooked through. Using a fork, open the biscuit in half. If the insides are still a little gooey, stick all the halves back in the air fryer for 3-5 more minutes at 330 degrees.

8. Once your biscuits look nice and brown, top each half with sliced or shredded cheese. Stick back in the air fryer until cheese melts (1-2 minutes).
9. Take the biscuits out of the air fryer and scoop your eggs out of their baking dishes. Assemble everything and admire how damn good they look. Shovel them into your mouth as soon as they cool.

No Air Fryer? No Problem!
This meal will come together faster in the air fryer (these rolls will take between 20 to 30 minutes in the oven), but you can certainly still make these in the oven.
Bake the biscuits according to package directions in the oven or toaster oven (directions are included on the package, including “Faster Baking Directions” if you are in a rush). They do not recommend cooking these frozen biscuits in the microwave.
As for the eggs – follow the same steps to prep each egg cup, then place your cups on a baking sheet and bake alongside the biscuits. Check every 5 minutes and take out when the eggs are set and slightly browned on top. Leave in for another few minutes if the eggs are still runny. Be careful not to overcook – they can get leathery if they’re in the oven too long.
Alternatively, you can zap these eggs in the microwave! Prepare each egg cup the same way, then microwave for 30 seconds. Let rest for about 30 seconds, then microwave for another 30 seconds (this prevents an egg explosion). I make eggs all the time this way on busy weekday mornings. Since I usually only do one egg cup at a time, I’m actually not sure if you will need more time in the microwave if you are doing two or more egg cups at once. Start with 30 second intervals and go from there.

The sky is the limit with how you can personalize these. Add bacon, sausage, or other vegetables. Use any kind of cheese you want. Try some fresh herbs or your favorite spice blends. Next time, I know to make way more than two – one wasn’t nearly enough for me π
I hope you enjoy these easy and customizable breakfast biscuits!
